A particularly fine Rolex Daytona Cosmograph, model reference 16520.
A 40mm stainless steel chronograph with black dial, presented on the 78350 Oyster bracelet.
The second generation of the iconic Daytona, saw the introduction of the perpetual movement for the first time. Rolex used the renound Zenith El Primero as the base calibre for the 165** series Daytona.
This is an exceptional full set. The watch was initially ordered at Leslie Davis in Bromley (long gone now..) in January 1990 at £1379.00. The buyer enjoyed a discount of £153.00 on the list price of £1532.00! The watch was collected in May 1992. We have the sales invoices, the Rolex Daytona boxes, instructions, swing tags and the punched COSC chronometer certificate.
